Hope Medical Center adheres to the competent application of Evidenced-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR in conjunction with holistic approaches, including relaxation techniques, art/music therapy, meditation,neurofeedback movement, and other somatic modalities. Clients will also be connected to our auxiliary services to enhance positive outcomes, such as nutritional guidance, legal aid, and career counseling.
Cultural adaptation is the systematic modification of an EBP’s protocol and/or content to consider language, culture, and context such that it is compatible with a client’s cultural patterns, meanings, and values. At Hope Medical Center, we strive to deliver evidenced-based treatment tailored to our multi-cultural populations, including Latinx and Native American populations, with available bi-lingual services and culturally adaptive interventions.

Roberta is a dual-licensed mental health and addiction professional counselor in Nevada. She is a state-approved clinical supervisor with over 18 years of experience working with diverse populations in a variety of clinical settings, including detention centers, homeless shelters, adult prisons, probation/parole offices, and residential treatment settings. Dr. Miranda-Alfonzo also has many years of experience in university settings, teaching, providing nationwide professional workshops, program development, and continues to serve as a direct clinical supervisor to graduate students and new mental health and addiction counselors in the field. She brings to Hope Medical Center her high levels of experience, education, compassion, and respect to ensure the best clinical services made available. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling, where her emphasis of research was on Corpus Linguistics and building the therapeutic alliance.
